THE HISTORY OF NORTH HILL SUBDIVISION
North Hill Subdivision was created in 1997 by the developer, E.C. Stuart, Jr. North Hill was developed in five phases. Phase I opened in the early part of 1997 with 149 lots. Phase II opened in 1998 with 74 lots.
North Hill was laid out with a strong foundation of good protective covenants, which Mr. Stuart knew would build a strong community with outstanding pride in ownership and provide for long term benefits for the owners for many years to come.
In 2000, Legacy Ventures acquired North Hill Subdivision from Mr. Stuart. They had a long impressive history of land development in Louisiana and continued Mr. Stuart’s vision for North Hill. They, too, believed that the protective covenants set down would promote the kind of tone that would allow each property owner to enjoy their property while not disturbing their neighbors’ use, thereby promoting attractive residential purposes.
Legacy Ventures opened Phase III in 2000 with 111 lots. Phase IV opened in 2006 with 31 lots, with lots 5-15 being reserved for “The Ridge”, an exclusive area with a minimum square footage of 3000 sf heated and cooled required. Phase V was opened in 2008 with 68 lots.
Today, all 433 lots have been sold and the subdivision is 90% developed.
